The global industrial food system has endangering our planet and and is threatening the survival of our ecosystems. I wanted to challenge this by focusing on those who are making a difference in their communities: those who are working in the field each day to make sure that clean and healthy food is growing and locally available.
I’ve been very blessed to be surrounded by a community of farmers and family who have always believed in my vision. I’ve tried to channel all of this love and support into the creation of Growers & Co.
Growers & Co. is about making durable goods that people will appreciate and use everyday in the fields, but it’s also about telling stories. Stories of what these people are doing – people that are working really hard to feed their communities, their families, and themselves.
I’ve been farming for 20 years now, and throughout most of these years, I’ve been a consultant for others. The time has come for me to apply this guidance directly into designs of what I think we need as small-scale growers.
"My goal with Growers & Co. was to create a brand that people and farmers from around the world would feel proud of.”
Growers & Co. is the vehicle that brings all of this together. We are trying to find smarter and better ways to change the world, and believe a primary way to do this is by growing food for local communities.
I’ve always felt super fortunate to the walking in the trails that the pioneers have paved for me, but now, it’s about setting up a new generation so that they’ll also succeed. It’s about passing the torch.
All this to say, small-scale farming is changing the world, and we all need to play a part. I want to be a part of it, I want you to be a part of it, and I want all of us to be a part of it.
Farm on!
